Who we are
FleetDudez is operated by Daniel Dunnigan (the "we" in this policy). Questions or requests about your data: daniel.p.dunnigan@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Account information — your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash), plus your role in the franchise you belong to.
- Fleet and work data — the vehicle inspections, fuel logs, mileage, maintenance records, issues, and documents that you or your team enter. This data belongs to your franchise and is what the app exists to manage.
- Photos — pictures you choose to attach to issues or vehicle documents. We never access your photo library beyond what you pick or shoot in the app.
- Location, including background location (optional) — if you enable arrival and fuel reminders, the app uses your device's location to notice when you arrive at your yard or stop at a gas station, so it can remind you to do your walk-around or log fuel. Location processing happens on your device; we store only the yard locations your franchise manager sets and the fact that a reminder was triggered — we do not record or store your movement history. You can decline or revoke location permission at any time and the rest of the app works fully.
- Push notification tokens — so we can deliver reminders and fleet alerts to your device.
- Crash and diagnostic data — if the app crashes, technical details (device model, OS version, stack trace) are sent to Sentry so we can fix bugs. This is not used for advertising or profiling.
What we don't do
- We do not sell your personal information. Ever.
- We do not use your data for advertising and do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
- We do not collect anything from your device beyond what's listed above.
How your data is used
Only to run the product: showing your franchise its fleet records, sending the reminders and alerts you or your manager configure, keeping compliance history, and fixing bugs. Data is visible only to members of your own franchise, enforced at the database level.
Service providers
We use a small number of processors to run FleetDudez, each receiving only what's needed for their function: Supabase (database, authentication, file storage), Expo (push notification delivery), Sentry (crash reporting), Resend (email notifications), and Vercel (web hosting).
Retention and account deletion
You can delete your account any time in the app (Profile → Delete account). Deletion permanently removes your personal data — profile, login, notification settings, and device tokens. Inspection, fuel, and maintenance records you created for your franchise are business records that belong to the franchise: they are retained for the franchise's compliance history but are detached from your identity. If you are the only member of your franchise, deleting your account deletes the franchise and all of its data as well.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest, with per-franchise access rules enforced in the database. No system is perfectly secure, but access is limited to your own franchise's members and the operator.
Children
FleetDudez is a workplace tool for fleet operators and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we'll update this page and note the new effective date. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
